Firstly because Apple make it too difficult for developers as the company doesn't want any concurrence on its iPhone, and secondly because if Firefox was available for iPhone it wouldn't be on AppStore, which means that it would be difficult to download and install for normal iPhone users, as a jailbroken firmware would be needed.
